Home - Issues and Solutions - Outdoor Solutions - How to standardize a facade with inhomogeneous surfaces
Does the client, both public and private, expect more and more facades? important. The consolidating or clinging fixative is sometimes not? enough, l’ plaster almost always has some small imperfections, or the mortar patches are very visible. Painting alone cannot cover all the imperfections!
If è a smooth silicate finish is provided:
1. In the presence of mold, decontaminate with algicide and fungicide with BIOCID.
2. Remove any deteriorated or peeling parts of the plaster.
3. Hydro-wash at high pressure, brush or scrape the entire façade, cleaning it from chalking or peeling paint, removing all traces of dirt or dust.
4. Portions of demolished plaster must be re-plastered with anti-shrinkage mortar with medium-fast setting and low modulus of elasticity PAULINPLASTER K638 after rendering with PAULINSANA RINZAFFO F750.
5. Once dry, consolidate the surfaces with SILK PRIMER silicate primer.
6. After 12-24 hours cross-brush application of one or two coats of a uniforming mineral filler filler for silicate paints SILK PF523 with an average consumption of 0.3 / 0.5 Kg / m2 per coat.
7. Final decoration with application of mineral paint based on modified potassium silicates SILK FINISH spread with a brush in two coats with an average total consumption of 0.400 Kg / m2.
8. Alternatively, apply MINERAL FINISH modified potassium silicate-based paint with a minimum consumption of 0.3 Kg / m2 in two coats.
If è A finish based on acrylic resins is provided
4. Portions of demolished plaster must be re-plastered with anti-shrinkage mortar with medium-fast setting and low modulus of elasticity PAULINPLASTER K638 after rendering coats with PAULINSANA RINZAFFO F750.
5. Once dry, consolidate the surfaces with an all&rsquo primer, FIXACRIL water with strong penetration, properly diluted.
6. After 12-24 hours, apply by brush or roller a SEVEN leveling primer based on elastomeric and siloxane resins, with a maximum grain size of 0.5 mm with an average yield of 4-5 m2 / l.
7. Final decoration with application of water-based quartz coatings or micro-coatings based on INFINITY 406 QUARZ acrylic resins, or 508 QUARZ or QUARZO COAT additivated with MUFFALGANÒ additive.
If è a siloxane resin based finish is foreseen
4. Portions of demolished plaster must be re-plastered with anti-shrinkage mortar with medium-fast setting and low modulus of elasticity PAULINPLASTER K638 after rendering coats with PAULINSANA RINZAFFO F750.
5. Once dry, consolidate the surfaces with an all&rsquo primer, strong PRIMER S water, properly diluted.
6. After 12-24 hours, apply by brush or roller a SEVEN leveling primer based on elastomeric and siloxane resins, with a maximum grain size of 0.5 mm with an average yield of 4-5 m2 / l.
7. Final decoration with application of breathable, water-repellent siloxane paint, resistant to mold and algae growth, SILOX FINISH or SANOFINISH or SANOFILL acryl-siloxane.
