In big cities we often see some facades with plastic claddings, well maintained but no longer fashionable. Scraping or removing the old cladding can have an unbearable cost, which can discourage the renovation.
1. Eventual mold should be treated with the algaecide and fungicide BIOCID solution.
2. Remove any part of degraded or peeling plaster.
3. Scrape every degraded or peeling parts of the coating.
4. Wash thoroughly all the surfaces with a water pump-jet to eliminate every trace of dirt or dust.
5. Even the smallest portions of plaster already demolished must be re-plastered with the anti-shrinkage mortar with medium-fast setting and low modulus of elasticity. PAULINPLASTER K638, after applying PAULINSANA RINZAFFO F750 coupling rendering coat for plaster.
6. Apply the ELASTORAS elastomeric paste in two coats or deep inside the skim coat a resistant alkali glass fiber net with a weight of 155 g “ RETE 160-A PER CAPPOTTO" with overlap of at least 10 cm..
7. Spatula application of exterior wall covering for shaved, microfibrated, tonachino effect, based on acrylic copolymers in emulsion, light-resistant pigments, anti-mold and anti-algae additives, silica sand and marble with constant grain size, LAMATO COAT PREVEN, in the versions 100/120/150 or CLASS COAT 120/150 PREVEN.
8. Alternatively, use the SANO COAT product.

6. Apply two coats of the white universal civil smoothing varnish LAMPOCIVIL R632 composed by modified water-based binders, siliceus polymers and aggregates. In case of major damages, deep inside the skim coat a resistant alkali glass fiber net with a weight of 155 g “ RETE 160-A PER CAPPOTTO" with overlap of at least 10 cm.
7. The finished plaster can than be be decorated with a sponge trowel and the micro-claddings such as: acrylic resins and water-based superwashable varnish INFINITY 406 QUARZ, qaurtz-based acrylic QUARZO COAT or, in alternative, water-resistant and breathable acryl-siloxanic SANOFINISH anti-mold and anti-algae, mould and algae-resistant masking matt filler SANOFILL, or siloxanic varnishes such as the breathable and waterproof SILOX FINISH, mineral varnish with potassium silicate SILK FINISH or MINERAL FINISH with modified potassium silicate. 6. Once dry, consolidate all surfaces with a consolidating primer based on FIXACRIL acrylic microemulsion diluted up to 1: 3.
7. Final application of shaved, microfibrated wall covering with tonachino effect, with a maximum granulometry of 1.00 mm LAMATO COAT 100 PREVEN (resistant to mold and algae growth), spread in two coats 24 hours apart one from the other. The first to close the staples, the second as a finishing treatment with a plastic trowel.
