Iron, if not protected, quickly oxidizes when exposed to air, resulting in a gradual loss of structural integrity of the object. Oxidative phenomena also generate aesthetically unpleasant effects such as stains, streaks, and bubbles from their very beginning. It is therefore important to provide adequate protection to a new support or restore it if the applied protection products show signs of degradation.
The products should be applied uniformly, crossing the brush strokes during the application. Regular application allows for automatically achieving the indicated thickness for each coat. It is important not to exceed the thickness in order to avoid drying anomalies and wrinkling. Any thicker layers should be obtained through multiple successive applications; subsequent coats should be applied when the previous coat is dry in depth. Under certain application conditions and for certain shades, drying times may be extended without compromising the product quality. In the case of external applications, make sure that the surface is completely dry and, if necessary, wait or dry it.
